About point system

I need do translate some texts, but I don't have points. Don't exists texts that I can translate to earn points. How to gain points?

I have a similar question. I need to translate something from Arabic to English but I know only English = can't translate to earn points. I think I read that cucumis gives free 300 points every 10 days but I have registered over 10 days ago and my profile still says zero points. Where can I find my 300 points every 10 days?

Your account will show "-300" if ever you submit a text to translation for this value (it will be the same as an authorized overdraft on your bank account, except that we don't take any percentage on it! ).

After ten days your account will show "0" points, or more if ever you translated some text that is equal to, or bigger than 300 points.

I am past 10 days and have submitted no text yet for translation. I think my points should say 300 but it says translation point = 0.

If you don't know any foreign language, we allow you to use cucumis by giving you 300 points every 10 days (only when you log in and when you actually need them).

It means you've got to request some translation for this system of points to work. As if you do not submit any request your score will stay at - 300 as an authorized overdraft.

It's like the Wonder cells slogan, it "itself get used only if you're using it!"

Oh boy this is complicated! When I first joined I submitted a text (one short page of Arabic) which was rejected with the message

'To have this text translated, it will cost to you 814 points
You don't have enough points to submit this text
The minimum number of virtual points allowed is -500. You are 314 points short
You need to translate to earn points'


So I thought if I waited 10 days I would have 300 more points but i just tried again (more than 10 days) and got the same rejection message

To get the 300 points every 10 days, I think you must have a number of points lower than 0. But I don't remember if when you haev zero points it works. I think it should, maybe you didn't wait enough. Enyway now you ahve 800 points so yuo will not get the 300 points.
