The supreme court has condemned a fourty-year-old man to fifteen months' imprisonment for rape, but twelve months of the sentence will be served later.
Magyaràzat a forditàshoz
A word-by-word translation: The supreme court has judged a fourty years old man in fifteen months prision for rape, but put off a ratification of twelve months sentence.
We should have the best translation in the main field, and as casper said, let's put the literal translation in the field "Remarks about the translation".
If we put and accept the literal translation in the main translation field, someone, who believe it is perfect, may use it wrongly.
OY... My head was in the clouds the last days. Let's see, I thought the other Icelandic said something about the translation.
The problem is that "en frestað fullnustu tólf mánaða refsingarinnar" means 12 months of the punishment have been postponed for later (they are supposed to be executed later). Can be used "suspended sentence" in stead?
