| Hi Handyy
I've asked for a poll as I don't speak Turkish.
The second phrase seems a little bit strange, is there also "something missing" in Turkish?

| Hi Tantine
I edited it. Yet what do you mean by saying 'something missing' ˃ 'a house to go/ to live'?

| Hi handyy
I meant the second phrase, "As I didn't have a house"
It doesn't seem to fit in correctly with the first phrase.
"I lived alone as ... family" (so this person lived somewhere)
Could this 2nd phrase be "So I didn't have a home"? |

| I thougth the house she talked about is the one where she lived with her family. as she couldnt get on well with her family she left both her family and their home and now lives on her own. Well, ım not sure ı just guess! |

| Hi handyy
Is it possible to formulate the phrase in another way? I don't really understand what emrah is trying to say here.
I'm sure she will come and let us know.

| hello Tantine,
I hope she will do so cos ım really confused! the phrase may be expressed in other way( ı have no idea what else it can be), but according to 'the meaning only', I think, it should be translated just like that.

| I tried to compare the English translation with the Dutch one, and the Dutch one is hardly a decent phrase :/
In other words, didn't really know what to vote. |

| I text a message to Emrah7. ı hope she would inform us about what she tried to drive at.
by the way, Urunghai, sorry ı couldnt exatly understand what you mean!
Bye!! |

| Hi afratafra,
Can you say that in English? or can someone else tell me what is written, afratrara voted against the text, so he may have something important to tell us.
handyy, does the original definitely say "house" and not "home"?

smyMesaj Sayısı: 2481 | Hi all,
Tantine this is a correct translation of an awkward text in Turkish. It sounds awkward because the source text is awkward. The second sentence may most probably be the beginning of a new paragraph but the requester had requested just this part so this is the only way it could be translated. What Afratafra trying to do is expressing the first sentence with a synonymous of "get along with" phrase. And it is correct to say "house" but it would be correct as well with "home" in this context. This translation is correct !

You are always very helpful
I'll just wait a while to see if emrah7 can give us more details.

| hi Tantine and Smy,
I suppose the only ones interested in this translation are just us; ı sent a message to emrah but she didnt give an answer!! hey, the one who requested this phrase was Emrah or ı remember wrong? thanks again smy for your help, but ı think the one who helps us should be emrah!
ı am still hoping she will make an explanation.

| I don't think anyone thinks you are interfering smy
I'm glad of any help I get when I evaluate a translation.
Also it's important that we stop and have a little chat here and there between the translations. This way we all get to meet each other and get to know one another.
I like it

| Bence yanlış çünkü bence buradaki ev kelimesi yuva anlamına gelen home kelimesi kullanılmalı house değil. Evinde huzur olmadığı, geçimsizlik olduğu için yalnız yaşamış. |

| Hi Tantine,
Andorra said there 'home' should have been used instead of 'house' as it convey the meaning of peace or serenity or something like that. yet ı couldnt get why she thought in this way because there is no clue such that she had peace at her home, just on the contrary, as she didn't have no peace at home, she left both her family and her home! in that case, how can we label a house, in which she had no serenity, as a home? so andorra can you please explain in what context did you think home should heve been used? ı really couldn't understand.Regards!
good bye Tantine and Andorra |
