Imaginemos o exemplo seguinte:
Desejo enviar o pacote a Pedro.

Se quiséssemos substituir o objeto direto por um pronome oblíquo, teríamos:
"Desejo enviá-lo a Pedro".

Do mesmo modo, é possivel substituir o objeto indireto:
"Desejo enviar-lhe o pacote".

Num português um tanto quanto arcaico (encontradiço em algumas traduções antigas da Bíblia), era possível substituir os dois objetos ao mesmo tempo:
"Desejo enviar-lho."

O que não dá é para usar "enviá-lo" para substituir o objeto indireto correspondente à pessoa destinatária.
