Fortunately, reading the forum I noticed that most people in here are not professionals in this field either. A little bit about myself: my name is Alice and I'm a Japanese Brazilian. As I'm interested in maybe starting some work as a translator, thought then, my skills could help you too. I studied japanese and portuguese at university of São Paulo and lived in Japan for some years. I also know some french and just started with italian. Hopefully can meet new friends here. Thank you.

Thank you for your message! | | 1 June 2006 05:51 | | It doesn't matter if you're an expert or not I'm also not 100% fluent in English. It's just a good thing if you help with everything you can | | 2 June 2006 20:35 | | hi Chantal, I think I'm gonna ask a translation for you, or are there other Dutch people on this site? Have you made some friends here? I have a Dutch friend and though we don't meet much on line recently, I would like to learn a phrase or an expression to write to him next time bye | | 2 June 2006 21:37 | | You're most welcome to ask a translation from me There are a few more people here though.. But I study English language and culture, and therefore it's not too difficult for me to translate anything
Seeya around! byee | | 4 June 2006 03:17 | | Hi Chantal, thanks for translating that message to me, just sent it to Hans, my friend; let's see if he responds Your language really sounds difficult to me. How about pronunciation is it so so like english? Bye for now! | | 4 June 2006 08:09 | | It is a difficult language yeah.. there are quite a few things in the grammar which don't have any rules at all..(at least, not that I know of) but on the other hand, English isn't easy either . The pronunciation is not really like English, though it's quite close, but there are some words which look a bit like English in spelling.
Bye!
