How can one become a Cucumis expert? What are the requirements?

I think there is already an expert for the Bulgarian language.
(It seems like Bulgarians really want to become experts, because last time, it was also a Bulgarian who wanted to become an expert!)

You already got the "rating" for becoming one, but it's just a matter of time and translations.
If there are more experts needed, I am sure JP will look at it.

Well, I'm not striving to become an expert, just asking...
I think a sole expert in Bulgarian is far not enough since there seems to be a lot of work for him lately, more than he could handle on time. I personally have 5 translations mostly from English (and a couple of Russian) to Bulgarian pending validation for quite a time already.
Having 5678 virtual and just 4180 actual points for translations is not the most satisfying and motivating experience for a fresh zestful translator...

Hi, thx a lot for your contributions so far and for proposing your help.

I've looked at the number of bulgarian translations to be evaluated, it's 37.
It's not that much but maybe you're right and tempest would need some help.

I will PM tempest to have a look at this thread and have his opinion. Bye

I ask JP if he can make me an expert again & he has to think 2 months now..

Yep sorry tristangun, there is not a clear opinion on our admin forum so I can't make a decision for now.
Everybody agreed immediately for ViaLuminosa.

Tristangun, I'm telling you once again I never strived to become an expert. Also consider the fact that I became such in Bulgarian. There was only one expert in Bulgarian, who couldn't manage all the work. Now from my new perspective, I can tell why Tempest proposed another member to share his responsibilities...
Your situation is way different from mine.

How old are you by the way?

ViaLuminos, I have been an Estonian expert..
But because of the many schoolwork, exams, projects, ... & my trip to Austria I couldn't come on Cucumis for a while!

There is NO Estonian expert and I have been the first ever on this site, now do you get why I think it is not fair?
JP said he would think about it, and now it has been almost 2 months ago.

I am 17 years old, and you?

I don't know what your history here is, but probably your age is the reason why many people are reluctant to accept you as expert. You mentioned that you had already been such... Maybe people think that you didn't do it well the first time...

You have to be patient tristangun, you asked to be remoevd from the expert list, and as you might know, sending PM to recruit and to explain to experts how it works, is very time consuming for me and others. So that's normal we hesitate now. I listen to all opinions on the admin forum.
Waiting is not always time wasting
