I think that I will "steel" guilion's nice idea about a video.

I searched for my hometown STRÄNGNÄS, but I didn't found much, mostly home made videos. Anyway, that will do ...even if the quality isn't the best. We are about 12 000 inhabitants in the town.

Here's another picture of the whole country SWEDEN from North to South ...maybe a bit touristic.

Those typical Swedish houses reminded me of Pippi LÃ¥ngstrump

Pippi LÃ¥ngstrump ...I didn't knew that you were familiar with this girl guilion , very famous character here.

Ok Thata, here is some mooore pictures.
No … ”my house" is an ugly one a bit old and boring. But the apartment is pleasant and the view from the other side is ok, a park with trees and a lot of birds in the summer, not that much to look at right now...but soon it will be green. This picture was taken at Easter, so all the snow is gone, and I can see that the grass is getting greener for every day.
Ha-ha...yes there are a lot of "ducks" here! Yesterday I went out to an island named Tosterö, not far from the town and took some pictures. (He seems to be a bit angry on that pic....) but his friend looks more friendly. They were dining on some old sponge cake from the bakery, maybe that’s why he was a bit "alert". I took a lot of pictures yesterday out there, here are one. and another one here. The old trees are oaks, very common in this region of Sweden, they are everywhere. But they will look nicer in maybe one month, when they are green. The early spring flowers are also everywhere right now. Blåklocka Vitsippa
Hm …it’s just nature, you must think that there are no human beings in Strängnäs.

Now I want to see more pictures from your places!!

Of course, Pippi LÃ¥ngstrump has become famous across the borders as well! In German we call her Pippi Langstrumpf (very similar to the original), but the english Pippi Longstocking sounds really stupid, sorry.

Well, my home town is not THAT exciting, but our capital Vienna (where I'll move to in a few years) really does have its own flair. Here or there you can have a look, if you're interested.

Hi Heidrun.
Yes, I know ...Astrid Lindgren is known for her children's books even outside Sweden.

THAT exciting ... (what do you mean ?)

Haha, I don't know if mine is exciting, it's just that I wrote a lot of stuff about it, since I like it, no matter if it's a famous or exciting place.

I think that you shall show us your home town too.

Vienna looks beautiful!!!

Well, perhaps it's just that I have lived here all my life long, so I've become a bit bored of it and want to experience something new. If you want to have some infos, look here (or here).

Hm ...that's understandable, but that's not the same as your city isn't interesting.

We baptized her as Pipi Calzaslargas, does it sound also silly to Northern ears?

No guilion...it sounds just cute.

Wow, I think that you can found almost everything on YouTube, what a media! That was fun to watch, long time since I saw "Pippi" in action.
