"The size of your translation doesn't match the size of the source text."Problem report
Results 1 - 3 of about 3 | | | 9 May 2008 17:20 | | I tried to submit a translation - my first - and am being blocked with this message. It could be because the person who posted the query set the title[1] to be the same as the source text, but I don't think this is a particularly good error message to see, ever - if anything, it should complain if the source and target have the same size.
[1] The text in question is the refrain of the Irish national anthem, which has a standard translation available. | | 9 May 2008 18:25 | | Hi, can you post the link/url to the translation ?
The submission is not blocked, there is a red link "[Confirm]" that you have to press after the warning, if you want to go on submitting your translation.
Actually, the system checks the size of the translation because we had many people only translating the title of the source text or submitting comments in the main field.
The check takes into account the language equivalences.
In some cases, it fails, it's just a warning. | | 9 May 2008 21:34 | | I saw the confirm link; I just thought it was a very odd message, but I that's a good reason.
Thanks for the answer. |
