Viewing translations by language group

Hey,

Would it be possible in the interface to select which languages to translate from to get it organised also by language group ?

e.g. I imagine that many people who have studied French & Spanish would be happy translating from another Romance language as well. Or someone who knows Croatian would be quite happy to translate from Bosnian, Serbian, Montenegrin, etc.

ftyers, all you have to do is select all the languages you feel translating from. Put them as your source preferences, and you're set.

No, I don't mean source language, I mean source language group.

e.g. South Slavic, Romance, Insular Scandinavian, etc...

I wish for the same thing ftyers is asking about here: grouping by language family, so I don't have to select each one from the very long list...

When you click the box "save preferences", you will save the source langauges for yuor enxt request.
If yuo want to save different preferences I suggest bookmark the url after you launch the search. You can also edit your wiki profile page and add this url.

JP, are you saying those preferences are stored in the URL, so on the client side, not the server?

When clicking on "save preferences", this is stored server side. But if you need to save more than one preferences, you'll need to store the url somewhere. All parameters ni the url (after you click ont he search button) are enough to make the same search again.
