Something unclear

There is something a little bit unclear for me. Should the translation in Romanian (for example) be written with the Romanian characters? I have found a translation in Romanian, validated, even there was NO sign of punctuation, the Romanian characters were missing and, even it was a sentence, the first letter was not writen with upper case. I am sorry if I am too critical, but if we want to get accurate translations, I believe all these rules should be respected. In the end, maybe we are also translating for people who don't speak or write Romanian. Why should it be incorrect?

Hi, you are perfectly right. When you see accepted translation like this, it's because maybe I've validate the translation when they wasn't any expert or because the expert was not yet used with our rules. It's not easy to uniformize our way to check the translations. One day we need to write a wiki article to set clear rules.
For now, the best way to converge towards the same goal is to drop messages to concerned people and to have discussion with them.

No, this time there was not your fault. That translation has been validated by a Romanian expert and it was not the only one done like that. That's why is a little bit irritating. It is not so difficult to try to write correct.
As a simple observation, ALL the translations of this expert are done in the same manner - without the Romanian characters.

Today, when I was talking with my family, we somehow came to the topic that left-handed people formerly had to learn how to write with the right hand, because it was seen as "unnormal" if someone wrote with the left hand. Although that (fortunately) isn't the case today anymore, it's a proven fact, that there are much more right- than left-handed people (at least where I live). So I was asking myself if the percentage of right- and left-handed people is the other way round in Arab and those countries, where they write from right to left (because of practical reasons too). Any ideas?

Well it was "something unclear" to me, and I avoid opening new topics as good as possible I've no problem though if you move it into a new thread called "What I've always wanted to know" or something like that
