I was interested in translating the project "Processing", because I work with computer programming and system development.

However, I wasn't able to read the whole text. All I managed to do was to find single words or fragmented sentences.

As the "Help" link in Cucumis isn't working yet, I'd like someone to help me, so that I could help translate this project.

Thank you,

Klaus Wernner Herrman.

Hi which language would you like to contribute?

Choose yuor language here.

Single words or fragmented sentences are part of the processing project. Once you've translated all of them, these fragments will be joined together by the project administrator (reas) to make beautiful multi language reference pages.

By the way, the project doesnot contain yet the whole texts, there are about 5000 texts to translate with this project and only 100 are submitted for now...

Hi, JP!

Thanks for your answer. I would contribute in Portuguese.

I even gave it a shot, trying to translate some of the items, but I can't go on, because I am sure that the quality of the translation would be terrible.

For example, there are cases when I can't be sure whether the word in English is a keyword of the language "Processing" (situation when the word should not be translated) or it is part of longer sentence (in this situation, it should be translated).

Moreover, for a great number of words, there are more than just one possible equivalent in Portuguese (not only in Portuguese, but any language) and without the context, we may give the wrong translation.

Do all the projects at Cucumis work like this (with fragmented sentences and single words) or is it just the project "Processing"?

Thank you for your time!

Klaus Wernner Herrman.

No it depends on the project but multilanguage projects often work like this. I agree with you the context description is not suffisant in processing. Your feedback gave me the idea to implement a button "This translation need more context". Thanks
Then the project manager will have to add the context.
