Language hunter Introduce yourself
Results 1 - 6 of about 6 | | | 8 December 2009 06:35 | | Greeting
I am at my second year of Bachelor of art, Interpreting and translation. School holiday just started for me. English is not my native language. My second language acquisition teacher told me that it is quite normal for us (from different language background) to have difficulties in learning the language. Noam Chomsky on the other hand said in his theory that we are born with a device in our brain to help us learn the language of our environment. I want to beat the odds and be as good as native speaker.. I need a lot of practice.
Hope to here from you

It's terrible to see how people refuse to try and talk another language because they're simply too afraid to make mistakes!
Therefore, Prince, if you're trying to be as good as a native.. speak, speak and speak! I can strongly recommend skyping with english natives! | | 13 December 2009 22:35 | | Thank you for your note. I do agree with you. Practice is the best thing of all. I am privileged to be living in English spoken culture. I guess persistence and practice will help | | 23 March 2010 16:57 | | Welcome to cucumis.org.
