no cross marks, no wrongs

I forward an advice of improvement from a Chinese user:
The array of language couples mark a cross on the head of every language, does that mean "WRONG"?

CAN WE CHANGE THE SYMBOL TO TICK √ ?

Well, French people use cross, English people use tick, this may explain that. I guess most people are used to the English way to mark, but both are used, this doesn't come from any error. (Are we obliged to do things just the way anglo-saxons use to do, or can we still have a personal way to proceed? I mean, once this Chinese user will be aware of what I just told you, will he still think it will be a great change if we replace crosses by ticks?)

Moreover, I don't see where there are crosses that are used to mark, I just checked (which I should have done before posting above, and these are ticks that are used (eg : when one clicks on "add a new target language for this text", boxes are marked with ticks, not with crosses)

So you mean these white on red tiny crosses at the tip of "Target language" and "Source language" on every user's profile page

But this cross is a button to remove the language, so a white on red cross seems to be suited for this, no ?
