| I used to be a freelance translator and enjoy translating most of the time. So, this website is like a paradise for me because I can get to know people around the world who share the same passion. :-) I wish I could reply as many of the messages posted here as possible. But one doesn't always get to do whatever one wishes to. C'est la vie, as the French say. Anyway, a warm HELLO to all of you here! This at least I can do. :-) |

| I agree with you, translation is an art, and it's also a game, addictive. |

| Hi pogor_narcis and jp,
Sorry for the late reply because I was away on holidays for 6 weeks.
Well, pogor_narcis, your message kind of made me blush a little bit. Let's hope that we can help bring people around the world closer through our contiunous translation.
Yes, translation is fun and a welcome addiction.
The greatest thing about it is that it's an endless pursuit of perfection and there's no limit in terms of how far it can go.
Again, I want to thank jp for this wonderful forum where we translation addicts can share what we do, think and feel.

| In my opinion, for 99.999999% of people, translation means only to understand. If you make other people understand, that is well done. Art happens only at some place, at some time, by some 0.000001% of people.(数了多少个零å—?大概50-60个地çƒäººå§ï¼ï¼‰ |

| Hi tristangun
It's always good to know another person who finds trasnlation addictive :-)
Since you're only 16, I guess you have a lot of time to work on any language you fancy for the future.
It seems that you know lots of languages for someone as young as you are.
Are you from the Flemish speaking area of Belgium? If so, Dutch should be a piece of cake to you.
And you also know Estonian and Luthianian!!! Are the two similar? How comes you know them?

| But translation in a profession is untolerable. |

| Well, it depends on who you are, how you look at translation as a job and what you have to translate, doesn't it? |

| Language is beautiful, translation is lovable, but job is labourious. |

| Translation, translation, let's remember interpretation also. There's something incredible in being a mediator beetwen people! |
