| Hi, I've turned on the finnish interface of cucumis.org. Hope it's ok . |

| I don't mean to be rude (this being my first post here), but I have to comment on the Finnish translation. All in all, it is OK, but a number of things drew my attention.
The names of languages are never capitalized in Finnish. Thus Finnish in Finnish is suomi, English englanti and so on.
Target language should be "kohdekieli" instead of "kohde kieli". The project page also contains punctuation errors that makes it look unprofessional.
I hope you have time to fix these things. They are little things, but not insignificant. |

| Hi ljon,
It depends if it is a wiki article or not.
In case it is an article you can edit, you should see a button [Edit] at the bottom/right of the text.
If it is a text without the [Edit] button, I suggest you post the corrections here ("replace XXX by YYY" . If there are too many corrections to do, I can send the finnish language files by email.
Thanks
bankebrett, I had missed your message, I will try to correct this. |

IjonNumber of messages: 8 | Ok, here's a few things. The [Edit] button itself is transaled wrong. Correct verb form would be [Muuta] not the current [Muuttaa] ('to edit').
In the top navigation bar "Käyttäjää" is wrong and it should be "Käyttäjät" (Actually 'käyttäjä' is user and member would be 'jäsen', in this plural form 'Jäsenet'. This would also be consistent with the left navigation bar where 'jäsen' is used.) Still in the top navigation, I think that "Projekti" would be a better translation for "project" than the current "Tehtävä" (= task in English)
In the left navigation bar "Favorite translations" is translated as "Suosituimmat kääntäjät" It has completely different meaning 'The most popular translators". Correct is "Suosituimmat käännökset".
And, as bankebrett noted befor, the language names are never capitalized in Finnish. It's not that bad when it appears at the list of all languages but in the middle of a sentence it's simply wrong. There's another error in one of these sentences also:
'You will be notified by email when translations from "English" to "Finnish" are requested by other users.' could be said a little more fluently as 'Sinulle ilmoitetaan sähköpostitse, kun muut käyttäjät pyytävät käännöksiä kielestä "englanti" kieleen "suomi".'

| I agree with all these things that ljon says. Why are they never changed? I don't want to be rude, but the credibility of this website is not so good if there are that many serious mistakes in the Finnish translation. |

| sorry I had missed the post of ljon, I will correct this as soon as possible. Thank you |
