| Hi! Cucumis is great! One of the Chinese member told me about it today.
We also have an interesting project, called ALBIS. it's not WIKI and it's not points - it's based on an ad revenue sharing model.
ALBIS already has: English, Japanese, German, Polish, Serbian, Cebuano, Norwegian, Indonesian.
All other languages are still lacking! (Some are under development.)
More info here: http://albis.vetsin.com/
Just click on the flag of your country (just like at this site :-)
Thanks!
Nick

| I've subscribed but I didn't understand what is it for, could you explain to us? |
| 24 January 2006 18:48 |
| You did? Thanks! It's for memorizing vocabulary! Very simple stuff, really... You choose a language, and that's it! You get taken to Level 1.
You have a very nice project here. I'm sorry to hear about your server crash! But you have a lot of members, so I'm sure you'll recover quickly. :-) |

| It's a way to learn a language, more precisely, to get more vocabulary of a given language?
Where the words come from? A dictionnary? |
| 24 January 2006 19:28 |
| Yes, that's right, the idea is to build your vocabulary.
The words are entered into our custom database by native speakers - which is why I posted here! Each language is developed and maintained by a native speaker. I am looking for people to do the Spanish, Swedish, Hungarian, Portuguese and other modules...
Long way to go! |

XiniNumber of messages: 1655 | I discovered Albis before cucumis. I like both very much. I use Albis to improve my English and to build my vocabulary in many other languages.
However, I found some errors in the Italian to English exercises. So it would be better if one could propose some corrections directly from the software.
Thank you and congratulations.

| Hello
I'm a little late, but I also like Albis very much...
When I was on vacations, I was seeing Italian vocabulary, I got until the 17th Level... It's something... I have bad internet, aha, it takes more than 5 minutes to answer the test...
My vacations are coming again, I'll see if I can finish it!
GOOD JOB! |
