I think here the meaning of "but can't quite place" is "but can't quite explain"

el mensaje par ami no esta correcto porque la traduccion no es lo que la oracion origianl quiere trasmitir.
yo lo pondria de esta manera:
Culparía todas las cosas que me siento pero que no puedo colocar absolutamente

"to place" in this context means to "remember where it belongs".

ok, my first idea was :
reprobaría todas las cosas que siento pero que no puedo explicar completamente
After reading all your messages, I changed it, now :
Reprobaría todas las cosas que siento, pero no puedo colocarlo en su lugar.

I think the verb place isn't well-translated.

"can't quite place" may be intended as a parallel to "feel", not to "blame". That would be grammatical, but a little nonsensical. I think that is the intent of the target "que ... pero que".

However, consider the idiom "to place blame". The writer would place blame if he knew where to place it.

Wow - I hadn't thought of that! But "blame" is a verb here, not a noun, so I don't think "to place blame" follows the grammar of the sentence.

I think it is correct now: "Reprobaría todas las cosas que siento, pero que no puedo colocarlas."

I'd blame all the things I feel... = culparía/ echaría la culpa de todas las cosas que siento...

...but can't quite place = si supiera como ponerlo/ pero no sé como ponerlo.

I've read all the messages and I think this could be the meaning into spanish.

I like both of your ideas above, Lila F. Maybe "pero no sé como ponerlas" would be best.
