You misunderstood. To give you some background, one of the things I do on Cucumis is suggest improvements to the user interface.

Aquilo não foi propriamente uma ponte... O Fukaia traduziu para um português muito dele... e ofereceu-me esse texto, que eu corrigi (penso que bem...)
Por dever de honestidade, até porque nada sei de Turco, referi nas notas que a tradução resultava de um trabalho conjunto. E se, aceite, vou dividir os pontos com ele.

Agi mal? Se sim, como devo fazer em outros casos idênticos? E como se faz para pedir as tais benditas "bridges"?

Mas dá para ler assim que você enviar um recado (tb particular) para esta pessoa.

Andei a ver quem pode fazer pontes de Turco para Inglês e encontrei 2 candidatos:
Serba, que é administrador do idioma Turco;
Kafetzou, que, não sendo nativa, está muito bem cotada e pareceu-me uma pessoa com elevada formação, muita ponderação e muito activa (Até achei que há semelhanças entre vocês... será?)

Outra dúvida: É correcto pedir na mesma mensagem mais do que uma ponte? Pareceu-me que devem ser individualizadas, mas, na dúvida, pergunto...

Serei perdoado por mais este incómodo?

Alterar para:

Please read what I just wrote to Pias about the difference between translation and interpretation. And what I write is the direct translation into English.

The problem with only catching meaning is that then everytime it is translated (interpreted) into a new language through a mediating language, the text will get further and further away from the original text. This is how to loose some meaning and how to add new meaning. If we were talkin law text it would surely be critical. But also when speaking about poetic language we end up with something else than what we really wanted to tell someone. I need this text to be translated into very good British English, so it can be transleted into vey good Persian and maybe Arabic, because I have two very good freinds I would like to write this to in their own languages.
