smy sent me a pm on 12 March, which told that she had a serious problem (I don't know what problems) but something happened that gave her a chock. Anyway...the day that she was online she told that she was a little bit better. She also told that she won't be able to work with Cucumis anymore, but that she will return some time in the future. And one of her last lines was: "Cucumis and Cucumers are always in my heart".
Hm...it feels a bit like I tell a secret or reveal a confidence ...that I shouldn’t, but since I know that you care for her and wonder...I think that it's right to give the little info. she gave me.

There are many absent people now, Maski, (long time gone) Botica, Tantine ...I wonder if someone know what happened to them?

I thought a long time, smy will come back, but it doesn't look like that.

I don't want to be a pessimist, but the marvel of internet communities has a downside too: it's very easy to "forget" you're part of them and to start doing something else because your interests have shifted a bit...

Now I'm not saying all the people you've mentioned are simply ignoring Cucumis, but it would be a bit naive to expect everyone to keep on logging on to Cucumis once and for all, no?

I see this all the time on other internet communities: people leave with/without a goodbye message, BUT most of them simply return after a certain amount of time

Yes ...you are right Dennis, interests do shift and people have their "real lifes" outside this community. But, since this thought crossed my mind today, I thought: OK, I'll post a note here, maybe someone know something I don't know.

Botica has warned us before leaving. It was more or less for the same reasons (interestes have shifted).

Hello all who had told a long time ago that they missed me, thathavieira, goncin, Lilian Canale, Pias, pleiepoco and others! I missed you all very much as well . I give you all my love and deepest regards. .

But i feel a bit resented at what Urunghai said because it's always not possible to know or guess correctly what's been going on in other peoples lives. It may not be always a matter of "shifting interests". I'm not a member who could leave Cucumis just because a shift of interest. Cucumis means a lot to me. And it's not always easy to forget.

Thank you for your explanation Pias . Yes, Cucumis and and Cucumers are always in my heart. I missed them so But I'm not completely back yet. I hope i'll be, in some time.

I suppose "shifting interests" wasn't the best choice of words, sorry for that!

You're very right Smy, it's hard to guess what's happening to other people - I hope you don't feel offended. Then again, you did check these forums again after a certain amount of time, didn't you
