Fine with me too!

Lena, glad you finally agreed about "hörde" (past tense or sbjv.) Anyway, I prefer to see it as past tense, don't think it's common to use subjunctive mood in "everyday language" nowadays.

Don't worry. I guess we all enjoy a healthy discussion in a thread.

Oh...I think that is a universal proverb since you can find those "meddlesome" creatures (like me or Lene) everywhere!!!

Lene/ Lilian, never meant ANYONE was meddlesome. My last post must have sounded rude I take it back!!!! There is probably a better Proverb in this case..."Ju fler kockar desto BÄTTRE soppa"

Come on, Pia! Being meddlesome on Cucumis is a good thing. It means we all try to help each other even if sometimes we write nonsense

hej Pia. Lilian is right. It was a very nice discussion and that's the reason for which we always come back.

I also liked watching the thread, if you don't mind me being meddlesome!

I just checked that word (meddlesome), never did yesterday... I thought it meant about the same as our "medelmåtta" (meaning: to be someone not very special, just a ordinary person... it can be in in sport e.g.) But according to the Free Dictionary it's: "an interfering old woman" - that could be me too!!

A meddlesome person is someone inclined to meddle or interfere, to intrude into other people's affairs or business without having been asked to.

It doesn't have to be an old woman even if those are more likely to become one.

Haha! I am an ideal example given the definition by Lilian ! Am I not? But I am not so old indeed! Fortunately!
