I like Horatius too. My late professor was crazy about the author. He gave us lectures about Roman Literature, but he talked actually only about Horacy. Even juicy details from his private life... My favourite is Seneca, Marcus Aurelius and Ovidius..

Well, Livius is quite simple one for translating... But I'm not wild about historical works... I prefer philosophy and poetry...

You know, I also found our cooperation very nice and so beneficial to me. For example, I have quite rare contact with inscriptions in my job. I translate with my pupils Latin inscriptions not too often, usually coursebook texts prepared to the level of students and in the last class original texts, but usually not inscriptions...

It's good for me that you are not latinist (though you would be a great one for sure), but historian and an epigraphist... We can complement each other so much thanks to this! Hope we will work together forever! I like you very much!

How nice! Most of your interests are also mine! For example reading prose and poetry, ancient history, of course Latin and learning other languages, classical and rock music (sic!), playing the instrument (I play the guitar)...and (wow!) also teaching! (you will be a great teacher for sure).
I knew we were very, very similar, Efee... Moreover I love Italian, though I was studing it by myself during my studies and passed only external exam (oral and written one) during my studies. It was our duty to pass some Romance language and I chose Italian, because it is the most similar to Latin. And I had been learning your language during only 1 year and then passed the exam! Can you imagine! I found Italian dictionary veeeery close to Latin dictionary... I was in shock opening it for the first time. Then I discovered that not only vocabulary but also even some grammatical structures like l'ablativo assoluto are the same!!!

Potresti spiegarmi questa frase "Testa muliebre turrita" non riesco proprio a comprenderla. C'e' una traduzione ITA - BUL che da troppo tempo non riesco a risolvere per questo motivo.
