| Thank you, Jim. You are a good "collega"!
Sorry for my Latin numbers, I will take care of them too next time. |

| Hi Jim,
Thank you for your kind e-mail! I notice you were/are a harpsichordist! I myself taught classical piano in Canada, and still sometimes play and sing jazz/easy listening/pop in piano bars when I need extra money! I always suspected there was some kind of mysterious connection between musical and linguistic abilities and interests!
My bachelor's in Ottawa University was focused on psychology, mostly developmental and humanistic, and this background comes in VERY handy, I can tell you, both when I'm teaching large classes of young adults at university, and in private classes in coffee shops around town! However, I see that you are a psychiatrist with an MD, so that means I will never be able to get along with you, because we were taught in university that psychologists and psychiatrists are on opposite sides of the fence when it comes to their approaches to treating their clients/patients!
Oh well, I don't always believe everything I was taught!
As for being able to read Japanese, it should be automatic with most cutting-edge web browsers...Do you have a Mac or a Windows machine?
I hope it's nice weather (warm/cool and sunny) where you are too!
Ian

| Hello,
could you "bridge" me this text?
You'll get half of points.
Greetings. |

| Hy, Porfyhr. I have a problem with a Latin proverb from the Project. It is Ad limina Apostolum, and the english translation To the thresholds of the Apostles. It is the first time I hear it and it is difficult for me to understand what is the real meaning. To be at the threshold of the Apostels door, id est to ask for compassion, charity? I have to find the correct equivalent in Romanian...I'd appreciate if you coul tell me with other words, in extenso |
| 13 September 2007 15:30 |
| Thank you for that, Porfyhr!
Is it proper etiquette to offer you half the points for that? (I feel I should send you ten of those twenty points!)
They're yours if you want them; if not, not!
Anyway, thanks again for thinking of me!
Yours in Words and Music,
Ian

Thanks again, Jim!

| Yeap! This Latin gave me many headaches and equal satisfactions |
| 14 September 2007 22:38 |
| That's ok,
It's wonderful have somebody so fluent in Latin, a "native" speaker ... I (or we?) can learn a lot with her .

| Ha! Pofyhr! I'm going to kill you - I'll find a way if you are serios... Eh, stay calm, I know you're joking! Just don't climb again in that tree. |
| 15 September 2007 10:37 |
| I've posted under the translation the explanation. I know you were serious. |
| 15 September 2007 10:46 |
| I wanted to post a devil face, but I couldn't |
| 15 September 2007 11:08 |
| Hei, where did you find that? It's scary! Only the idea is enough... |
| 15 September 2007 11:30 |
| So, Jim, do we prefer to write with "i" or "j" in cases like: "iam" or "jam" ? In Romanian we use "i", in dictionaries this is the way. What do you say? |
| 15 September 2007 11:36 |
| I've deleted you message by mistake! And I don't know how and why I've managed to send a message in my Inbox, my message if you can understand that, because I can't...
I was telling you I'm sorry, I did it again! I didn't realised that I shouldn't put my comment there |
| 15 September 2007 11:38 |
| What message were you talking about? The one with "Regina nugarum"? I've really lost it... |

Salve!
cucumis.org participes
Rex nugarum, this is ready!
Non potui scribere cum magnis litteris, quia mortua essem neque potui vereri quod tu dixisti de AE.
It is very difficult for me to write with those letters because I have to copy paste them from word. So, I'm expecting complains.
