Lena, glad you finally agreed about "hörde" (past tense or sbjv.) Anyway, I prefer to see it as past tense, don't think it's common to use subjunctive mood in "everyday language" nowadays. |

| Oh well..it means that the suggestion on my first post (29 October 2010 12:01 ) was fine after all!
Thanks girls. I'll post the bridge under the request |

Who is etc?
We have a proverb here "ju fler kockar, desto sämre soppa..." |
| 8 November 2010 14:44 |
| Oh...I think that is a universal proverb since you can find those "meddlesome" creatures (like me or Lene) everywhere!!! |

| Come on, Pia! Being meddlesome on Cucumis is a good thing. It means we all try to help each other even if sometimes we write nonsense

piasNumber of messages: 8113 | Yes... I know what you mean Lilian & I like that discription! That's what makes Cucumis so special. So I take back what I first took back. :P |

| I also liked watching the thread, if you don't mind me being meddlesome! |
| 9 November 2010 07:51 |
piasNumber of messages: 8113 | I just checked that word (meddlesome), never did yesterday... I thought it meant about the same as our "medelmåtta" (meaning: to be someone not very special, just a ordinary person... it can be in in sport e.g.) But according to the Free Dictionary it's: "an interfering old woman" - that could be me too!! |
| 9 November 2010 10:29 |
| A meddlesome person is someone inclined to meddle or interfere, to intrude into other people's affairs or business without having been asked to.
It doesn't have to be an old woman even if those are more likely to become one.
