Text:
Displays sunrise and sunset times. Displays astronomical, nautical, civil and official times. By default the current date and location will be used. However, sunrise and sunset can be determined for any date and location. The desired location is chosen from a map so you are not limited to a fixed list of locations but have the flexibility to choose any location.

The app is a useful tool for anybody who uses the nature and enjoy outdoor activities: Hikers, fishermen, hunters, photographers, etc. The benefit of this app compared to other sunrise and sunset apps is the flexibility when it comes to the selection of location.

As a bonus the app will change background to match the current light conditions. This increases the readability under any lighting condition.

The new and improved version features the ability to change the time zone of the sun rises and sun sets being shown. Also, the length of the day will be calculated.

Text:
Official sunrise is when the day starts and it is defined by when the sun starts to break the horizon. Before this time there exists different stages of dawn starting with astronomical dawn, going into nautical dawn and ending with civil dawn before the actual sunrise. These stages of dawn are defined by how close the sun is to breaking the horizon.

The same goes for sunset, but all in reverse order. The official sunset is when the last part of the sun disappears under the horizon and following that are different stages of dusk until it is completely dark.

The experience of the sunrise and sunset can vary depending on atmospherical conditions, weather conditions and landscape features. Thus calculated sunrise and sunset times will be an estimate based on average conditions and assuming that no landscape features block the horizon.
