People went to greater lenghts to keep their secrets, to hold on anything resembling privacy, and it resulted in things like an absurd number of people going all the way to the gym just to use the bathroom so as not to embrass themselves around anyone they might not care to share such intimacies with, which resulted in people eating and drinking less so they wouldn't have to make so many trips to the gym, and this is just one thing.
