WHAT IS VENTURE CAPITAL?
Just as we have already done for buyout, we will now take a closer look
at venture capital. What is it? What are the qualities that characterize
a venture firm? Can anyone do it? If not, what are the barriers to entry?
What are the current issues which concern the venture industry? This
will be an important chapter since arguably there is no single area of
the whole investment universe that is more widely misunderstood, or
more unfairly vilified.
