Contemplo-te sempre. Óh! Anjo moreno, teus passos...
Text
Submitted by Ari Miron

O angele aenee...
Translation
Latin

Translated by alexfatt
Target language: Latin

Semper te contemplor. O angele aenee, gradus tui notae in animo meo vestigiaque divina in vita unius mortalis exsistentia sunt. Id est quod nec explicari nec intelligi potest, pura animi affectio (est), tam pura quam adulescentis qui a multo tempore te fascinare conatur, quia homo ab iis quae facit definitur. Et te prudenter, serene, sincere, certe colere (conatur). Quando te observo, debilitatus et sine verbis actionibusque quae certe vitae meae reliquam partem mutent sum.
Remarks about the translation
"a multo tempore" or "diu"
"colere" or "adsectari"
"vitae meae" or "dierum meorum"

Salve Alex!

I’m very sorry, but this Latin translation of yours is not clear to me. Although I don’t know much Portuguese I have been trying to guess what you wanted to say reading both Portuguese and Latin version. Correct me, if I am wrong, please.

1.O angele aenee? Why?
Anjo moreno = Dark angel?
If so, I would be for “angelus obscurus” or “angelus ater”

2. "na vida de um simples mortal" = in life of a single mortal?
in vita unius mortalis --> in vita cuiusdam mortalis?

3. exsistentia sunt?

4. "Id est quod"? Are you sure?
“És algo” – isn't it “you are something”?

5. "tam pura quam adulescentis" --> "tam pura quam adulescens..."?

6. "Et te prudenter, serene, sincere, certe colere (conatur)"?
You probably know that the options which you gave in brackets should have been put in the remarks field. Anyway, I can’t catch a meaning of the sentence.

7. And finally the last sentence. I’m sorry Alex, but I am totally confused about it. Could you tell me in English what you wanted to say in Latin?

Salve Aneta!

I found this request very difficult to be translated, I'm not surprised there are many wrong things. Well, let's see how I can clarify my translation...

1. "Óh! Anjo moreno" means literally "Oh! Tanned angel".
It seems to me that "ater" or "obscurus" have a negative nuance, while this angel is simply tanned.
So I opted for "aeneus"

2. "na vida de um simples mortal" > "in the life of a simple mortal"
You're right for sure, I don't know why I wrote down "unius"

3. I'll rewrite the whole phrase using the English word order:
"gradus tui sunt notae in animo meo et vestigia divina exsistentia (= quae exsistunt) in vita cuiusdam mortalis."

4.
You're right, sorry, I got confused with Spanish, where "es" means "(he/she/it) is".

5. A literal translation to Latin would be "tam pura quam ea adulescentis", but I read somewhere that in this case we can remove the pronoun and leave only the genitive.

6. That phrase is related to "tam pura quam adulescentis qui a multo tempore te fascinare conatur".
By putting "conatur" in brackets I meant that the principal verb is the same, but it doesn't even appear in the Portuguese text.
And with "colere" (or adsectari) I mean "to flirt"

7. Here you are:
"When I watch you, I am paralized and I end up without words and actions that, for sure, would change the rest of my life".

If you have to reject it, don't worry and do it! At least I'll try again.

Ciao mio caro amico!
Don't worry. I'm not gonna reject it. If I did, the request could be never translated. I doubt there is any user here who would know this language pair as well as you.
Anyway, I need a bridge to help you improve the translation.

Hello Sweety!
Can I ask you a bridge for this text, please. I know it is quite long, but I can offer you a half points.
