Salut!!! Nice to meet you-somehow!!About my avatar: pluiepoco had asked me too, because it reminded him chinese paintings, and he's right, there are similarities!!!!That's an old cover from a school book of the first class(primary school). It's lithography, made by the method TIF and the creator's name is Kostas Grammatopoulos. Many generations learned their first letters, the alphabet from this. Nowadays, it's hard to find a copy, really expensive. It's art,in my opinion, and I love art!!!!

I tried to upload (3 times) a JPEG format picture and I kept getting an error message telling me that the avatar must be either a jpeg, or a gif or another option... obviously something is wrong with the system as it is NOT doing what it should...

The picture I tried to upload is format .jpg, the size is 14kb and 259x273 pixels. Can it be the file size that is preventing the upload???

Any ideas on this?

Thanks!

I have tried to upload the avatar image 4 more times. It is below the 30kb (which is the limit), it IS a jpg as requested and the cucumis system still won't let me upload it.

Please fix this annoying problem!!!

Thank you!!!!

Hello!
My name is Anna, I'm from Russia (Kostroma) and work at a University. I teach English. Our University really needs native speakers, to make contacts, to communicate, to introduce our students with some native speakers. Do you think you could possibly help me somehow? or give a piece of advice?
Thanks in advance and sorry.

Hi Tantine! How are you?
We don't talk to each other for a long time!
Thank you for showing me your point of view about me, I'm really sorry if sometimes I'm very tenacious, I know I am, but this is a kind of method that I found to prove myself that I'm wrong and so understand the right thing to do.
I'm so sorry!
Bises!

Hi Ruth!
I always love when you write me, you're always so cute and you make me feel stronger, powerful!
Maybe you should've seen some discussion about one translation and I was trying to defend my points of view. I'm actually tenacious, when I see one possibility, even among one million, I try to prove that I can be right. But most of them I'm wrong and I want to understand why. Lily always helps with this hard task, she's always nice and patient with me. I can give you my word that I don't have anything against her, and I really like her.
You don't have to ask for apologies, if there's someone wrong, this one is me.
What's the name of this Corsican group? I'd like to look for something about it.
Wow! Your garden must be awesome! I bet you're enjoying it!
I hope you're fine and this is only to check you up.
Kisses!

Hi Tantine,
The word to word translation would be : as you know yourself, you know others. According to my comprehensive English-Swedish dictionary, it would be : You judges others by yourself.

Hi, may I ask you something as a native speaker of English and the expert? I just have had a little argument with one of experts in english, but still i am not convinced and the situation is not clear enough to me.
Can I say in English: You know how much glad I was that you found a job and moved...?
Or should I translate it like: You must know how much glad I am that you have found a job and moved?Though in original there is no "must" or Present Tense.
Probably, first phrase sounds really clumsy in English?
Thanks
