Well, translation of "I study the Russian language.Let's go to CUBA". Hard to say without the context. If CUBA is a country it'll be "поехали на Кубу". But CUBA can be a nickname, i think it's quite possible, than the translation will be "пошли к Кубе".

I saw that you have your personal text in New Messages...

That's useful.

Yes, you're right, with so many wrong translations a little text is very useful when you want to get some time free from them.

Bisous!

I would like to put a picture of me working someday and there it is!

They are from Florida and they came to make social work, I was translating them in a ... asylum? and in children schools. This was in September, I do it for free, and I must say, it's gooooood for my speaking, I love to do it.

But most of the times they give the translators a small payment... Good!

Hello Tantine,

I am quite new on cucmis.org, and I have to say it is exciting indeed to be part of such large a community of people. As you say, the best part is when discussing the translations, and I would add: it is the 'cherry on the cake'.
I have approached you regarding a phenomenon I have noticed, that of rejected translations from Turkish into English.
Please don't mind me bringing up this topic - it is just a remark of mine.
The point I wish to make is: I know English and I know a little bit of Turkish. What I could do is take the already made translation from Turkish and simply rewrite the text in a better English language. That doesn't sound fare to me . Most of the work was done by the previous translator and here I come, with few corrections, and make the text mine, when the other translator did most of the work.
If I may ask, is there no means to somehow adjust this phenomenon (regardless the great load of work, lack of time, etc.).
Thank you for your patience and your kind understanding towards a 'toddler' of Cucumis (that's me!)

Tzicu-Sem

Hello Tantine,

Thank you for taking the time and replying. I appreciate all you have told me. Your task ( the administrators) is not an easy one. But surely you are doing a great job (you and the other experts, administrators, etc.).
All the best,

Tzicu-Sem
