Hi sirinler,

I'm afraid I don't really understand the phrase in English.

Even if I correct the grammar, I don't know what it means.

"The news is decided upon when they are reapeated"

or

"The news is decided upon when it is repeated"

I have opened a poll as my Turkish is still at a minimum level

Probably is supposed to say: The news is decided up on when it is repeated. This would mean that a decision is made concerning news (I suppose like a news paper) when it has more than one source.

Hi dramati

Thanks

I see what you mean. Do you think we can turn a better phrase in Enlgish?

When a thing is often repeated they decided to make it news.

I thought you opened a vote? I see that it has not been done yet. What to do?

Hi dramati, hi sirinler

Sirinler, you have completely rewritten the English version and it doesn't seem to say the same thing as the first version.

"News" = information that is given in newpapers, on the television...

"New ones" = not old ones.

Maybe the source text is not too clear?

I've opened another poll. I don't know why the other one didn't work.

THE original one means "the new things" to be permanent when they are repeated; not the information..So in order not to cause any misunderstanding, I have changed it..

also, maybe "decide on" can't give the appropriate meaning, so you can look at it again..

The new ones are decided upon when they are renewed.

"the new ones" is ok because it doesn't refer to "news (recent events)", it refers to "people new in anything"

and the translation should be this way:
"the new ones decide upon what they repeat"

Thanks smy

I thought we were going to get stuck!!!

I'll validate it as it stands (I'll just take off the inverted commas that have slipped in at the end)

Thanks everyone
