There must be a wayImprovement
Results 1 - 8 of about 8 | | | 12 February 2008 22:30 | | ...to take a glance at the results from the public evaluation of a translation without necessarily having to vote. I feel very embarrassed to vote for my own translation just to have a look at other people's opinions...
Is there already such a way or this will be my first suggestion for the site improvement?
Another one, very important: Presentation of the messages within the forum threads should better be "latest first" - this would save a lot of click-clacking around... | | 12 February 2008 22:46 | | Hi Via
You don't have to vote on your own translation to follow other people's opinion.
There is a trick you can use:
you vote for any option (sure that in any case, correct would be the first option! )
and after having a look on the votes that have been posted, you cancel yours! Done! | | 12 February 2008 22:48 | goncinNumber of messages: 3706 | ViaLuminosa,
It's possible to see the current state of a poll on the the translation page itself: take a look here, for instance. You'll see the poll box besides the Edit button.
As for voting on your own translations, most of us (including me) use to vote "I don't know" on them.
Best, | | 13 February 2008 03:58 | | Yep, as tell goncin you can vote "I don't know" there is no effect on the poll when you vote so. | | 13 February 2008 07:34 | | Goncin, I don't see such a box besides the Edit button. To be precise, I don't see an Edit button at all... Maybe because the translation doesn't include language I can translate from/into.
But I took your advice.
In fact everybody's advice on this question is worth much. Thank you, people. | | 13 February 2008 08:55 | | I'll add that I've found, since I'm expert, some translators voting for their own translation. I'm sorry, but I find it strange.
Can they understand that I can't accept their vote when I need a poll? | | 13 February 2008 11:02 | | Now you have a good explanation, Botica... They simply want to see what others think of their translation. | | 21 February 2008 02:52 | | Oi Via.
About Presentation of the messages within the forum threads...
You can see the last message just ckicking on the link: read in the latest messages column.
Botica, I always vote: I don't know in my translations.
You know, we will always vote yes, because we made them. Hehe. |
