| But what happened actually? You just had you had some health problems, but you did not tell me what.
By the way, was the translation useful? |

so how did you study that language [Klingon]? ;p
just from a book?
Mostly yes, until I got connected to the internet. Then I joined the Klingon Language Institute's email list. After some years there, I bought the two audio cassettes and then the CD game, which has a Klingon language lab, and I started meeting with people to practice speaking and hearing the language.
The use of Klingon in the Star Trek movies and TV series is good for effect, but it's virtually worthless for learning the language. Even the accents are terrible (retrofitted to become 'dialects').

stevoNumber of messages: 78 | so, how long did it take you to become 'fluent' in it?
(sorry, but.. the time you have spend learning this language, wouldn't it be more useful to study for example spanish, or I don't know another worldlanguage?)
It took me a couple of years to reach my current level.
More useful in what sense? I already know several world languages, including Spanish, and I'm still learning several more, including Chinese. The whole point of learning Klingon for me is that it's fun. I don't learn languages for their so-called practical benefits; I learn them because I like to.

| Hi Nathan
Actually I don't remember, nevertheless, I'd help you gladly. However the submitted text is consisted of Heb fonts, but the text itself doesn't make any scenes what so ever.....
I suspect the text was typed in Different language (probably European), which the writer mistakenly forgot to switch back to Latin fonts
I tried to 'decode' it accordingly only to find out it's not English
Hope I've been helpful
Regards Nathan
Ittai

| naja, die Ferien fangen erst am Mittwoch an. Donnerstag war nur frei, weil Nationalfeiertag war
btw: lively = vivant!!! =) |

| 我是从比利时 (I think that's correct)
correct:我是从比利时æ¥çš„。
I come from Belgium. Je suis de Belgique.
or you can use this sentence:
我是比利时人。
I'm a Belgian. Je suis Belge.
J'apprendrai le français seulment un an,donc mon français n'est pas très bon.
I find you can speak or read a lot of languages, oriental, ocidental. And you are more younger than me .If you have questions of chinese, you can ask me,I'will answer in my lisure time. |

| Ja ich weiß, viele Schulen haben Herbstferien, nur unsere leider nicht...
O Brother, Where Art Thou? |
| 27 October 2007 17:14 |
| (1)“我从比利时æ¥çš„。â€
this sentence is a spoken chinese.
“从â€is a preposition = from
“æ¥â€is a verb = come
“的â€is a construction word ,it's necessery here.
“的â€is a very important word in chinese.
so I think “我æ¥è‡ªæ¯”利时。I come from Belgiumâ€is more better. It's written chinese. Here,“自â€is a preposition = from.
(2)“我是比利时人。â€means I am a Belgian.
you shoule learn this structure :
国å+ 人 = 国ç±
the country name+people=people of the country
for exemple : "french" &"chinese"
法国(france)+人(people)=法国人(french)
ä¸å›½ï¼ˆchina)+ 人(people)=ä¸å›½äººï¼ˆchinese)
I hope what I told you could be helpful.
