我想whisky与我争论的根源就是要宣布用不同于简体的中文来翻译本站的构成，这个我考虑过，我之所以把繁体留下来没有继续翻译，是因为我尊重台湾等地用繁体的习惯。但是，繁体版本现在还没有出来，而whisky讨论这些翻译问题事出有因，这因就在这里－－繁体中文版本没有成立。

我本人是十分赞同使用繁体的人士来完成这部分翻译，所以，我与whisky等台湾人没有根本利益上的冲突，大家都是为网站发展好。但是，我多考虑了一点，这一点，我相信是whisky等人没有考虑到的：

因为网络上所有中文信息都是提供简繁并列的搜索的，所以如果本站cucumis.org的中文名字如果不统一，就很容易产生分歧。比如，它有两个叫法，或更多中文名字，试想一下，这合适吗？当汉语还作为一种语言流行于国际的时候，一个小网站的中文本地化名字却有N个，这利于推广吗？这就会让不懂汉语的人认为，这是两种完全不同的语言，同时文字上差别太大，从而认为这不属于一个体系。请问，这种结果好看吗？

还有，从网站本身结构说，网站提供单个语种的平等服务，如果现在建立与简体中文对应的繁体中文版本，那么以后的所有改善活动，包括即将成立的中文cucumis论坛，是不是还得分为简体中文论坛与繁体中文论坛呢？还是合并成为中文论坛呢？显然，从目前本站的构成来看，如果要持续现在的繁简分歧，就必定会导致本站中文论坛一分为二。如果从语言出发，从汉语交流出发，和语言／翻译服务出发，选择一个统一的中文论坛是迫切需要的。但是，这种繁简之争，只会导致中文论坛的分裂，这对本站以后的汉语服务和中文建设都会产生重大不利影响。

所以，我一直认为，在这个社区，应该存在一个统一的中文社区，所以，这就对jp站长的网站建设理念提出了严峻挑战：要不要改变一语一文的建设模式？－－因为汉语是一语多文。

我认为，理想的解决办法是，改造论坛模式，在保留目前分歧的情况下，可以尽快建立繁体中文版本，但是只能建立统一的中文社区。或者，取消关于traditional Chinese 与simplified Chinese之别，统一为一个Chinese服务，然后在这个层次以下，再细分为其他服务，这样就为统一的社区打基础。

因为无论从哪个地方切入，jp需要改变他头脑中的语言模式，同时要积极改造本站结构，适应语言文字实际。

OK people, there is not any chinese administrator to moderate chinese messages, so please stop posting in chinese in this english forum.

I've listen to all arguments and I've explained the reasons of my choice, so there is not any reason to go on discussing on this matter and to involve politics in it as it's all about linguistics.

So the traditional chinese of cucumis.org will be the one used in Taiwan. That's all.

My apologies, jp. I'm so used to both languages that it did not occur to me that I am writing in Chinese in an English forum. It was exceedingly rude of me to do so. I will translate my post into English to correct my error.
