Hello burcuertunc,

Thank you for your message and nice compliments!

Unfortunately, I don't have a copy of my birth certificate to show you, and I'm Canadian, not American anyway.

However, you know, I think what the American consulate would require is only a reasonable translation of the information on the certificate you've got; I don't think you should have to imitate the American (or any other) format.

Just write the information on your certificate in the same way, one by one, translated into English: it should be acceptable that way...?

I don't suppose that's of much help to you, after all, but I wish you good luck with it!

All the best with your new life in America!

Ian

Yes, I know: immigration processes can be so stressful! We always want to have everything *perfect*, so they can't deny us a visa...

I had to go through that when I came to Japan, and my Japanese wasn't very good at that time either!
But don't worry too much: just do your best and relax! Your English is very good, so trust your language ability: I wish you good luck with your translation!

By the way, I cannot read Turkish, so I would not be able to tell if the English you would write were an accurate translation of the original Turkish. However, Kafetzou (an expert here on Cucumis) is a native English speaker and she can also read Turkish, so maybe she could help you with that better than I could?

Anyway, once again, good luck!

Ian
