You see, glz, if you want ask help, you can use the forumm, or ask directly to some "old" translators

Frankcy if this is truly a community of translators who's sole purpose is to participate in a learning an environment where one can translate a lot, and to inhibit such and environment, then you will see that the point of the point system with cucumis is to inhibit and create such an environment to motivate translators, because of the incentive of points

realizing this, you are telling me that you are not really such a translator in a community of translator if you refuse to help in my request for translating, because it seems you only care about the points and the system involved in it, the incentive, the points were only to get you motivated about translating in the first place

If it is the points you are so worried about, I can generate a list of source words and then a list of translated words, once you're done translating we can paste this into the "cucumis system" and you WILL GET YOUR POINTS

however it is NECCESARY that the translations be typed directly into my website that I have created for this sole purpose, then we can use the cucumis system, but not the other way around, if you ask me to use the cucumis system and paste the words into the system, then once you translate it will create a lot of un-neccessary work for me and redundancy because then I will have to go to my website and re-type all the translations back into the my database, one by one

see i'd rather not explain myself, because YES it is a long explanation of WHY i choose to do it this way, but just trust me I have VERY GOOD reasons to ask you to translate this way

so please if you TRULY are motivated by translating then help me out in my request, and do not reject it because it does not meet the cucumis system, and I am even offering you a way anyways to get your points once you have fulfilled my request

I am willing to give back, I have many skills related to programming and other general pc/internet skills, so your help will not go un-appreciated, the linguistic part though I lack, so I may not be able to translate as much here on this website as you do

So to summarize:
1. i respect this community
2. i appreciate the values and ideals that this community was founded upon
3. I have a request for translation
4. I am willing to give back to the community or person who will help me

How can you reject my request?

p.s. I have created a thread in the forums, and if I am a new user, how will I know which members are the "old" ones to contact??

This is my method of reaching out to those "old" members or whoever can help me in my request.

-thank you very much

p.s. my inbox seems to be more popular than my thread in the forums how ironic!

Hello glz, I read your talkings with Francky. I told to Francky there was no problem to ask for help on our forums. Anyway, you must understand that Francky is also right. The members here are doing a lot of efforts to provide a translation service, to improve the systemn to help new members in order to make a strong community, and it can be border line to ask "hello people, thanks for making such a comunity, now you can come on my website with my system."
But once again, there is no problems asking for help here in the forums, all translators are not belonging to cucumis, they do what they want . By the way, I will remove the project entry you created as, reading your messages, it seems you will not use it.
