I found these lyrics, but I would like to make sure they are lyrics from "Kenga e nuses" (the song by Refat Sulejmani). I'll post a video from this song in the discussion area.

Hi Francky
well...

"nuse" means "bride" but brids in our culture have very specific place in the husband's house.

In this song, which is very emotional, (I cried when I read it, because I'm "nuse" too ) a mother is singing for his doughter, whos get merried, and becames a bride. She is crying for her daughter, because she's going to left the parent's house, and she will live with his husbend and husbnd's famelly, and mothers usully know, that this is very heard and painful change for their doughters. All "nuse" in our culture, espacially in the past, because now a lot of things are changed, remeber thet period of their lives.

Now,
"kenga e nuses" have a lot of songs,
it depands from the area and the sourc.
In Albania, Kosovo, Macedonia, Epir area, the texts and rithms are different, but the meaning is the same

When "nuse" arrives in the husbend's house, the gests in the wedding, sing songs, which have diferent and happy texts, for example: wellcome nuse, you're very beautiful...
But the songs from her parent's house, when she's laeving and separeting from her parents and famelly, are very said, for example: you grow up so fast, you are becoming "nuse", the hard part of your life is coming, you're gonna be just a gest in this house, we're gonna miss you so much...

And a lot of "kenga e nuses", especally from Macedonia and Albanian from Greece, have no author. They're traditional songs, which are singed from generation to generation. But I don't know for this song, if it is a traditional song or not.

I will try to find 'kenga e nuses' from Macedonia. It is very interesting too.

I just found that Mariola Kacani is not author of the above text, this is traditional song from Albanian's areas.

Hi Liria! Thanks for this interesting depiction of the Albanian traditions.

About the song by Refat Sulejmani, is it sung in Albanian language? I don't understand a single word in it, is it talking about an old man who's got his daughters who are getting married I watched the video many times, and I have got this feeling, but I may be wrong...
