results from this study are very encouraging in light of the interest of educational institutions to offer more courses that use DE methods. Hypotheses 1,3 and 4b received strong support; hypothesis 4a was partially supported. Lack of support for hypothesis 2 may, however, bode well for administrators whose goals include developing more courses offered through DE.
