Many pointers from early history indicate that this condition has been part of the human lot from the very beginning. Then as now, it is one of the most common chronic diseases that there are: 0.5% of all human beings suffer from epilepsy, which means that in the U.K. alone around 300 000 to 600 000 people are affected.
