well, i think its fair, but didnt occur to anyone that maybe the guy (or girl) he wants to spend his time with is not actually here
then it becomes:
a 1000 reasons i shouldnt spend my time with u wherever you are now, and there are few reasons not to be here, but id rather be here than spend my time with you...
far fetched? maybe... i'll just go with this one

We don't know if his love is here. I think if we remove the word هناthen it will be ok.
what do you think?
Or do you think I went too far with translating this one?
It was like:
I have 1000 reasons to leave you but for every single one of them I can find two other reasons to stay!
Did I understand that Incorrectly?
I need to know what you think.

well the problem is that the original statement does not say: i can think of two reasons to stay, it just says i can think of two, and i assume it's i can think of two of the 1000 reasons not to waste my time with you, and i think of those two for every reason not to be here, so i thought there are two positions to compare against: being here, or wasting my time with you, apparently the guy is saying being here is better than wasting my time with you that is the only thing that makes sense to me
i think the only fair thing here is translating litterally, so to give the chance for the reader to make their own deduction as we did from the English statement, that means:
هناك ألف سبب لئلا أهدر وقتي معك, مقابل كل مبرر يحملني على الذهاب، أستطيع التفكير في سببين

I see. I undersood what you suggested and it makes sense to keep it for the reader to deduce the hidden meaning.
But I have recieved this from кристина1 who actually posted the text for translation:
"jaq84 you are absolutely right about the hidden meaning of this statement......
There is a 1000 reasons to leave you or not to be with you, but for every single one of them i can find two other reasons to stay or to be with you.
And, yes, you do understand this correct."
Since she assured us of what she meant then I suggest we keep it the way it is.
