God has taught me much. I am thankful for that. These wonderous blessings have been shed upon me. I begin to be certain that the right person has arrived. Giovana, you are incredible. Every day I am more certain that you are the person God has chosen for me. Thank you for turning my story upside down. Only God knows what was truly needed. I did not know what to expect from a woman to know that you are my princess. I fall deeper and deeper in love with you every day. I think I am learning to love you. It is all in the hands....

I am not sure about the sentence beginning "I did not know what to expect", since the Hebrew is a little illegible. But this is the gist of the words at least.

Hi libera,

"Thank you for turning my history around"
What about:
"Thank you for changing my story (the story of my life)"?

" I did not know what to expect from a woman to know that you are my princess."

It seems to me that something is missing in this line.

Also "I fall deeper and deeper in love with you every day"

As I remarked below the translation, the sentence beginning "I did not know what to expect" is a bit ambiguous in the Hebrew original - it doesn't make much sense in Hebrew either, and I tried to translate its probable meaning. The entire passage, by the way, is written in rather poor Hebrew (maybe by a language student) and could not be translated literally.
"Thank you for changing my story" is a more literal translation, but "turning my history around" sounds better in English. We don't really say either in Hebrew.
"deeper and deeper" can replace "deeper" as far as I'm concerned.

I'm glad to know that "Thank you for changing my story" is a more literal translation, because I tell you that this is what sounds better in English.
For "deeper and deeper" can't be replaced by "deeper" alone.

And about that weird line, perhaps it should be:
"I did not know what to expect from a woman, but I know that you are my princess."

actually when rereading the passage, it does literally say "turning my history up side down", but as I said it rankles a bit in Hebrew so go with whatever you want.
regarding "I did not know what to expect" - your guess is as good as anyone's. I think the writer is an Arabic speaker, and 'but' is probably not the missing word there, however after reading and rereading the Hebrew sentence I still can't come up with any inkling of what was meant. Maybe you can ask some other Hebrew speaker on the site for their opinion?

It's always hard to make a perfect translation out from an awkward original. However, "turning my story upside down" sounds a lot better.
If you edit that and the "deeper and deeper" line we may set a poll and try to get some ideas from it about that other line which is puzzling us.

Hey all,
Libera - great job, the Hebrew is barely legible!
As the submitter of this is a girl who's called Giovana, I think that the person writing this has some difficulty using Hebrew pronouns.
This in turn leads me to believe that the ambiguous line should indeed read "I did not know what to expect from a woman, but know that you are my princess".

olka is right - the Hebrew is impossible.

I guess he meant:
"I did not know what to expect from a woman, or how would I know that you are my princess".

all the rest is fine

That's what I thought.

Thanks Milkman.

Hi libera, if you edit that we could validate it, OK?

מעביר את המשמעות המילולית, אבל הדקדוק בעברית שגוי.

התרגום הוא מהעברית השגויה לאנגלית... ומכאן הקושי.
