Volunteerism has always interested me. Volunteer work without the expectation of material gain is the corner-stone of society. Like Goethe said: "thinking is easy, it is applying it, that is difficult whereas applying someone elses' thoughts is the most difficult". Student's thoughts, applying those thoughts, working in group and to contribute to society are some of the advantages of Europe's volunteer network.
I support volunteerism and consider myself lucky to have had such an opportunity.
As a volunteering candidate, youth, children and artistic matters draw my attention.
I'm open to new experiences, able to succeed at teamwork and I believe I have the necessary skills to participate in these kind of programs.
I'm eager to work and optimistic by nature. I believe one has to be motivated and very willing to participate in such programs. I really want to be part of this so I can contribute to society. My previous activities in life has increased my ability to emphatize and I believe this will benefit me in this program.
Volunteering has always enabled me to meet different people and even to discover new worlds. For instance when I first went to Mardin I became aware of the many prejudices I held against that region and in the 15 days I stayed there, thanks to to the time I spent with the local people and the friendships I gained, these prejudices vanished. I can therefore say this with even more conviction than before:
Everyone is Different But Equal!
I PARTICIPATED in the organisation of "Hisset Sanat Sergisi" which was a project by
TOPLUM GÖNÜLLÜLERI VAKFI. HERE I HAD THE OPPORTUNITY TO MEET PEOPLE FROM DIFFERENT COUNTRIES AND LEARN ABOUT THEIR CULTURES. ALSO I TEACHED ELEMENTARY SCHOOL CHILDREN IN THE PERIODIC SUMMER PROJECT THE ÇAĞDAŞ EĞİTİM VAKFI HOLDS.
Even though these experiences were limited in time, they aided me in understanding volunteerwork and improved my ability to help. Currently I am aiding in the organisation of Gepgenç Festival, to take place this April also by the Toplum Gönüllüleri Vakfi as part of their "personal development" project. I am learning a lot about teamwork.
I AM STUDYING INTERIOR ARCHITECTURE AND HAVE A GREAT INTEREST IN HISTORICAL BUILDINGS. ALSO I AM INVOLVED IN PHOTOGRAPHY AND BELIEVE I WILL BE SUCCESFULL AT IT.
I respectfully request that you accept me as a volunteer and grant me the opportunity to be one.
I await your response.
Respectfully
