| J'ai eu peur puis j'ai repris courage | | Target language: French
| Remarks about the translation

Couldn't you find me a shorter text
Do you find the French text OK in terms of grammar?? Because I found it OK in terms of meaning (easier for me to revise the french one rather than perform a bridge ).
One point though, in the last one or two lines te writer wrote "ces amies" which Belhassen worked around it a little bit and wrote "Ces derniers" who happened to be his friends, too. Is that OK?
It doesn't harm!!
Anyway, if you still insist on a bridge let me know | | | 28 November 2009 12:58 | | | Thanks for your help, I thought about submitting this text to translation into English, because of its size.
French is very good, no problem with it.
I think Belhassen was right to translate using "ces derniers", just to avoid repetition of "ses amis" in the last sentence.
Just that I don't understand Arabic, this is why I needed this bridge. Note I could have provided you a bridge myself and ask you whether it is sticking to the Arabic version, but I was feeling too tired yesterday, and didn't even think about it.
But if your knowledge of French is enough for you to help me with the translation, you could have simply voted at the poll, as your nick on a poll is just like I was told "reject", or "accept" the translation, just depends on where you posted it.
Don't forget that point : vote from an expert of the source-language on the evaluation poll is not only consultative for me, it just lets me take the decision of accepting it, editing it or rejecting a translation.
So here I'll accept the translation, thanks a lot for your answer!
| | | 28 November 2009 21:18 | | | Oh...sorry Francky
I didn't know I could vote for it
Maybe because French isn't among the languages on my profile, I'm unable to see the poll under the "help us" ad I usually see.
Well, It isn't that I didn't want to give a bridge but probably I was acting lazy myself
Regarding French, well I joined 5 french classes so far, one of wich happened to be a conversation course. The result is: I understand French to a good extent. Unfortunately, I still don't communicate in it so well. So when you asked me for the bridge, I found it easier for me to evaluate the meaning of the French one than rework again to produce it in English. | | | 29 November 2009 01:18
