Today, the mechanical force on the brake pedal of the vehicle is transmitted to the wheels as hydraulic force by the brake fluid through the servo brake and the master cylinder, and braking is executed. In the case of Electro-Hydraulic Brakes, a future brake system, the force on the brake pedal will be constantly monitored by a sensor which detects the pedal movement and the change will be transmitted to the electronic control unit. Here, it is useful to explain the subject in a broader way: in the new system, the force on the foot brake pedal will be a pre-warning which notifies the system of the necessity to brake.
