Hi Minny

There are one or two minor problems with your translation. Here are some suggestions for corrections:

"Cuisine équipée" is "fitted kitchen", Here for "remise à neuf" you could put "modernised".

"Séjour" would be better translated as "living room"

"porte fenêtre" is "French windows"

WC is not used in English, prefer "toilets"

"Closet" is an american word so I would prefer "cupboard" (there is no mention of "mur" so I would remove the word "wall"

I would translate "ch" by "bedroom" as in English "room" is simply "pièce"

In English "attic" is "grenier", so for "mansardée" it would be better to put "sloped ceiling"

The "supl" is to be taken together with "WC" => so "additional toilets"

My guess is that "espace machàL" is "espace machine à laver" so "washing machine emplacement" would be good here.

Since this is for an English speaking market, it would be advisable to give the distances in miles.

"Foire aux artistes" needs translating.

There is a typo in the original, so "Galot Romain" should read "Gallo-romain" in French. As it is an adjective it needs to go after "monument". "Kayak" should not have a capital K since it is after a comma, not a full stop.

"Rando" goes with "Pédest & équest", so the word "excursions" is not nécessary here. Maybe you could put "hikes and horse riding" instead.

"Grouped visits" would be better than "visit in groups". I don't see anything other than "rdv" in the French version. So maybe you should put "Grouped visits by appointment"

You did a great job here, because abreviations are not easy to translate

I suggest some minor adjustments:
how many toilets does one need?
I think you mean to say that there is a toilet (not plural) on level 1 and on level 2.
And I think on level 2 are also to BEDrooms.
Why translate the distances from km to miles? It is not said that this advertisement is just for the British, is it? It seems to me like something to be used international. Maybe it's a good idea to use both?

Hi drsyr

The French word "Velux" (a proper noun by the way) is a type of window that is inserted into the slope of a roof.

I think you are mistaking this proper noun with the adjective "velu". If this word is used in its plural form it would give "velus" and if it is used to describe a feminine noun it would give "velue", and "velues" if the feminine noun is plural.

Hi Jollyo

In British English the word "toilets" refers to a room, whilst "toilet" refers to the porcelain receptacle which is to be found in the same. Since the source text separates the mention of those found on the first and second level, I cannot invent a phrase that is absent from the source text, since this is a technical translation and not an adaptation.

The comments under the translation specify that this translation be done in British English. In British English distances are expressed in miles and not in km, which is why I asked minny to do so in her translation. It would, however, be pertinent, as you suggest, to add the distances expressed in km in the "remarks about the translation box". I will do so before validating minny's version.

Salut minny

A Velux is a skylight; the final line appears to mean "group rentals by appointment". I will clear this off our stack...
