| | Hey
Typo here "how should I regolate time" --> "how should I reg ulate time"
And I would say "How distant should I be?" --> "How far should I be?"

| | Hi!
Not sure why you called me... Anyway yes, I agree with your first edit; about the second I do not know. Does "How far" sound better in English?

| | Hey!
I called you since you are an Italian expert
Yes I would say that "How far" is more common.
But maybe I should call for... more English pros for that CC: Francky5591 lilian canale |

| | hehe! I'm not an English pro at all, and only an expert in English can do something about a translation into English.
Alex, as an expert of Italian, can't do anything either, only Lilian or any other expert in English who'll take care of this translation will notify the translator she's got to edit her typo, or will edit it.
About "far/distant" I wouldn't assume anything, it seems to me "far" is used with "from + object", and about "distant" I don't know well...
Edit July 19th : "it seems no me" (typo) with "it seems to me" -I should review my posts sometimes!

| | Hello, RedShadow; Alex & Co.;
Maybe there is another flaw here: "... che illuminazione c'è" => "... there's light".
Wouldn't it be better "... the light there is"?
Also, "a camera" ought to be "the camera".
And "Posso mettermi alla distanza desiderata" would mean, more or less: "I can be/stand at the desired distance".
(Just my humble opinion. What do you think, Alex?...)
Truly a pleasure to meet you all again

| | Hello, guys,
Let's organize a bit this evaluation, OK?
@ Alex,
The original needs some edits, doesn't it? (spaces, punctuation, caps...)
It's too bad JP released the text to be translated before those edits were made.
Anyway...there are many flaws in the translation (some of them, were pointed out by our vigilant users ) Thanks to them.
@ brusurf,
I'll have to reject your translation, but you may have a new try taking into account the suggestions above.
@ Francky,
I'll also set the request in standby so that Alex can edit it correctly before a final translation is accepted and sent to the requester. CC: Francky5591 |

| | Yeah... but only minor flaws, so minor that they do not impede comprehension |

| | I've modified the translation according to your suggestions.

| | Hi again brusurf,
I've made a few changes in order to sound more natural in English. However there's still a line in the original that does not sound right to me.
@Alex, please check : "Posso mettermi alla distanza desiderata. Fotografo 2 o 3 persone vicine.". Could it be:
"If I stand at the desired distance, can I photograph the 2 or 3 closest people?" |
| | 6 February 2013 15:28 |
| | Yes, it could I'll edit it according to your suggestion. |

| | @lilian canale
I don't understand what you want to change.
"Posso mettermi alla distanza desiderata. Fotografo 2 o 3 persone vicine." cannot be translated into
"If I stand at the desired distance, can I photograph the 2 or 3 closest people?".
What do you want me to do?

| | Hi brusurf,
Don't worry, the expert for Italian and I reached an agreement about the meaning of the line. He edited the original and I adapted the translation that was already accepted. |
