Останні повідомлення | | | | | 27 Серпня 2012 01:39 | | | I must explain that I have not "evaluated†again this translation -or not intended to do so-. I just wanted to rate it (with the maximum qualification; most probably for a second time) because I consider it very fine; perfect.
Now I notice that a line appears below the text saying, or implying, that I have evaluated this translation after another expert has done it... Nothing was further from my intention if "evaluate" is understood in the sense of wanting to express any discrepancy, or “my last wordâ€, or something similar; on the contrary !
I just took for granted that I could add my own rating to benefit the translator; but now, I feel not so sure.
Could anybody, please, tell me if I have done something inappropriate?
Many thanks in advance!
| | | 27 Серпня 2012 02:34 | | | Dear Lev, it happens to everybody to do some errors, next time please just check the status of the translation, when a translation has been validated and rated, you can see the flag from the target language stands just beside the flag of the source language, (like on this page). When it is still to be evaluated, you can see the flag from the target language on a line that is under the one from the source text.
But it is easier again if you check the status just under the text, you probably didn't notice it, but just before you validated and rated zaidita's translation, you could have read this :
.lilian canale. Evaluated translation (accepted). 27 August 2012 00:10
.lilian canale. Edited translation. 27 August 2012 00:10
.zaidita. Translated. 26 August 2012 23:48
.José baptista. Submitted request. 24 August 2012 03:53
You're welcome! | | | 27 Серпня 2012 04:46 | | | Many thanks for the prompt response, Francky!
But I still keep one doubt, that I will try to explain:
Even after a translation has been validated, there remains the possibility to rate it (I mean to rate it a second time; or a third, perhaps... I assume that this could depend on the number of experts in each particular language. To rate it without "editing" nothing or changing nothing: give it a 10 --or another 10, as probably happened in this case-- just in benefit of a task well done.)
Cutting a long thing short: is it possible, or convenient, to rate a translation more than once?
| | | 27 Серпня 2012 12:05 | | | Technically it is possible, there is no locking system after a translation has been validated and rated by an expert.
But only the expert in charge with a translation is allowed to increase or decrease the rating, and/or ask an admin to reset the translation back to evaluation when needed.
This is why you can see these notifications of the status of a translation under the translation frame.
| | | 28 Серпня 2012 12:03 | | | I see!
Then, I understand that it is possible, but not convenient.
[If it were the case to delete my rating: I gave a 10, as I said quite clearly before]
Many thanks again for the answer Francky! You are always present So, hats off!
