The European Commission has just authorised the cultivation of genetically modified organisms (GMOs) in the European Union for the first time in 12 years!
Yielding to the pro-GMO lobby, the committee ignored the opinion of 60% of Europeans who believe that we should first establish the facts before cultivating plants that could threaten our health and our environment.
A new initiative allows 1 million of European citizens to submit formal proposals for legislation to the European Commission. Let’s collect a million voices to demand a moratorium on GM crops until the research has been completed. This appeal will be submitted to the President of the European Commission Barroso.
