Oh yes, of course masculin (and "la pesanteur" was the other word even in my dictionary).
I was just thinking those two words, gravitation and falling, where I was concerned with the idea that responsibility should refer to falling and not to the people i.e. gravitation force causes objects to fall (and not float in the air) but not when it is question about love. Did not see anything else.
And again, I am astonished how complex even the short sentences are, the interpretation and the connotations that come to your mind.
By the way, the idea I was after here would be lost if translated into finnish because we don't use the verb to fall here in any sense, only change the verb a bit:
to love=rakastaa, to fall in love=rakastua
(to get/make somebody to love=rakastuttaa,
to get s-y to fall in love=rakastututtaa...)
Not the best verb as an example of the treatment
but that's the idea...
