Buddhism Book??

Hiiii...

I am not a buddhist and I must admit I do not intend to be anytime soon. But recently Jack Kerouac has shown me the truth about not self and my own non-exsistance. I have many questions and would like them answered but I tire of the preachy, dogmatic responses and readings out there. So I am looking for a basic buddhism book that can address some of the more complecated facotrs without being so preachy.
