Hi Tantine!
I know (due to my big eares) that you could not read this right now...but I just like to say I recieved your card from Corsica today! Sounds lovely to be able to prepare your own olive oil! You know..I think we can not even grow those trees in Sweden. Anyway ..(this must sound stupid) but...few year's ago I bought my mum a grapevine for her garden, and this autumn she had A LOT of grapes (sweet and tasty to) I'm so amazed that plant can survive cold winter's. He must be a 'fighter'.

Thanks a lot for the card from your lovely green spot of the world! Hope that your computer getting well soon. See ya,
Pia

Today I got a kind, warm and amusing letter (with a postcard) from Tantine. At a certain point she said "First my computer broke down, then Cendrillon (Flavia [her daughter]) took so long copying down the addresses [of Cucumis postcard list])".

She had undergone a surgery and will go for another next year, but in spite of all this she seems to me a very happy person. And she has the power of making other people happier, and I'm happy to be one of those.

The card is from Notre Dame de Bavella, in Corsica island, a religious monument.

Thanks for all of that, Tantine!

Cendrillon, please tell that your mother!

Hello people, I've received a nice postcard from "Angelus". The motive of the postal is from the city Aparecida, SP from Brazil, which I just had visited in 2002 (I believe). There were my wife with me, her brother and her parents by car from Vitória/ES (~700km). The return-route was via Belo Horizonte with a stop there visiting family. - This was a long and beautiful journey.. .
Sorry for not scanning the postal, but I'm moving flat and the scanner is just in the box. Only my notebook is "alive"

Hello Fellow Postcard Fiends,

I have been away from Cucumis for quite some time, too long. Thanks very much to all who have sent me your lovely and much appreciated postcards and the great stamps too: Iepurica, Goncin, Ivelina, Francky, Matpigan, Pluipoco (I think! Women's World Cup Soccer, autographed), Bojaus, Rodrigues, Chiara85, Chantal, Maski. That is in order of receipt, by the way. I hope I matched everyone's avatar correctly...some were hard to read due to marks and tapes applied by the postal services.

So Pluipoco, was my Chinese handwriting legible!?

Now I have caught up on the thread here. First, I am sorry I could not send everyone a different card; the selection was very small. Second, Christmas Gaak! I had better get the postcard exchange list again, and get to work.

To Una, yes of course, your writing is legible so you can keep on.

By the way, I am too busy these days, so I will send you postcards if I have free time at this weekend.

Wow ... all the postcards sent and received!

I think this is proof that, even anno 2008 with millions of e-mails sent every day, a postcard is much more beautiful, personal ánd tangible!

uzeyir-a, Cendrillon and pias,

Your postcards are on the way (I hope so). They are beautiful landscapes from Maceió, the place where I spent one week of my vacation.

It's the first time I bought stamps and delivered the cards on a mailbox, insted of taking them to a post office. So I hope I pasted the right stamps and the mailbox collect works!

Is the postcard exchange over by now? Otherwise, or if anybody start a new one, I would be happy to join! I can send beautiful cards from northern Sweden :-)
